NEMOLAND 2016 will take place on 1 and 2 April 2016 in the prestigious setting of the Odeon Hall in Florence, with an edition dedicated to Japanese animation and the world of special effects that have made the history of this art.
Over 500 students from the art schools will be present for the two days of workshops organized again this year by the NEMO Academy of Florence.

Master Masami Suda, is the NEMOLAND LEGEND Award 2016 for the incredible career and importance of the work done as a character designer and animator.
Considered a true legend of Japanese animation cinema, Suda + known all over the world for having created the Ken the warrior animated series (北斗の拳 Hokuto no Ken)

Colin Chilvers
Special effects legend Colin Chilvers, Oscar Academy Award winner for the 1978 cult movie “SUPERMAN” is the NEMOLAND LEGEND 2016 award. The jury of the event thus wants to reward the English artist for his incredible career and enormous contribution to the popularization of the art of special effects.
